ISO 9001:2015

FKI USA operates under an ISO 9001:2015–certified quality management system. We build quality in at every step with documented procedures, trained teams, calibrated measurement, and closed-loop corrective action. Lot traceability and in-process inspection keep parts identical hit after hit, while PPAP/FAI packages make approvals fast and predictable.

QMS

Our Quality Management System

Our QMS is a closed-loop system that governs every stage of the product lifecycle. We use the
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) framework to proactively identify and mitigate risk
long before production begins, ensuring a smooth launch and stable, long-term supply.

Incoming Quality Control

All raw materials are verified against material certifications to ensure they meet the specified grade, temper, and thickness before being released to the production floor.

In-Process Quality Control

We use Statistical Process Control (SPC) and in-process checks to monitor critical dimensions throughout the production run, ensuring parts remain in spec from the first piece to the last. Our goal is to maintain a Cpk of ≥1.67 on critical features.

Outgoing Quality Control

Final inspection verifies that parts meet all dimensional and cosmetic requirements and are packaged correctly to prevent damage during transit.

Production Part Approval Process

Production Part Approval Process (PPAP): We can provide PPAP
submissions at all levels (1-5) to meet your specific needs,
delivering a complete package ready for OEM approval.

CMM & Laser Scan Reports

We provide full dimensional data from our in-house Zeiss
CMM and Hexagon 7-Axis laser scanner, offering clear,
data-driven proof of compliance.

Capability Studies

We can provide detailed capability studies (Cpk) to demonstrate the stability and repeatability of our processes for your critical features.

First Article Inspection

Detailed inspection reports verifying that the first production parts meet
every dimension and specification on the drawing.

Full Traceability

Our system provides complete traceability from raw material coil to the final
shipped lot, ensuring accountability at every step.

Protecting Class-A Cosmetic Finishes

For cosmetic parts, quality extends beyond dimensional accuracy. Our processes are specifically
engineered to protect flawless surfaces from the raw coil to the final carton.

Tooling Design

Dies are designed with mirror-polished cavities, nitrogen gas springs, and specialized
ejectors to eliminate witness marks and protect surfaces in-press.

Specialized Handling

We implement custom handling protocols, protective films, and purpose-built fixtures to
prevent scratches, dings, or marring during secondary operations and transport.

Final Inspection

Every cosmetic part undergoes a final visual inspection under controlled lighting to ensure
it meets the defined Class-A criteria before packaging.
